People come to Madeira to do a lot of hiking, conquer mountain peaks, and navigate steep switchback roads. But the island is steep — in every sense of the word. Almost every week, someone comes to our practice sharing stories we have heard many times before:
- "My lower back locked up right after a levada walk."
- "My neck has been completely stiff ever since the flight."
- "Spasms shot through my back after a full day of driving the mountain roads."
- "A nerve got pinched and it just won't let go."
- "An old injury flared up at the worst possible moment."
If this sounds like your last couple of days, there is absolutely no reason to ruin your vacation spending the rest of your trip on painkillers when the issue can be resolved gently and professionally.
Who We Are
We are Mark and Olga Vdovskikh, the founders of Resonance Integration. We specialise in professional chiropractic care and manual therapy on the western side of Madeira, in Prazeres, just a few minutes from Calheta and Ponta do Sol.
Mark has over 30 years of practice in chiropractic and manual medicine. We see patients in English and Russian. Over 50 reviews on Google and TripAdvisor, average rating 5.0.
Our Approach: Beyond Traditional Chiropractic Care
In our practice we apply a proprietary method called Resonance Integration. It is a deep structural correction combining classic chiropractic techniques with vibrational tuning via a 432 Hz tuning fork and gradient vacuum recovery of microcirculation along the spine.
Often a single session is enough to relieve acute pain. Rather than just working on the painful spot, Mark uses his hands to identify the root cause and works with your body until it fully releases. Most patients feel a clear difference on the same day.
More about how the method works on our home page.
